Andy Ashton is set to join Free Radio as Regional Content Director, replacing Mike Newman.
Mike has decided to leave Bauer after eight years at the business.
Previously, Andy covered as Regional Content Director at Radio Clyde and was Group Program Director for Communicorp Ireland. He also previously held roles at Spin 1038 in Dublin, as well as Network Director for XFM.
Andy will report to Chris Pegg in his expanded role as Regional Content Director North West and Midlands.
Commenting on the appointment, Graham Bryce, Managing Director of the Bauer City Network said: “Andy brings a wealth of experience to this role, he will be a great addition to the Free brand. Mike has made a considerable contribution in his time here including Free becoming the most-listened to brand in the competitive West Midlands market, the successful integration of Free Radio into the Bauer City Network and the development of the new Birmingham breakfast show set to launch later this month. We wish him well for the future.”
Andy Ashton will join Free Radio on Wednesday 17th January.
