Archers and Moyles are on top

The latest online listening figures released by the BBC show that The Archers is the most popular on demand programme, followed by the Chris Moyles show.

The Archers attracted 682,304 listens over the month (after the broadcast), followed by Chris Moyles download at 503,088 requests.

Live online listening to BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio 3 reached a new peak in September, as the stations clocked up 3.1m and 475,000 hours respectively.

September also saw a record number of downloads of programmes in the BBC Download and Podcast Trial. 4.8m MP3s were downloaded over the course of the month.

BBC Radio 4's From Our Own Correspondent saw the biggest percentage increase in downloads (75 per cent), equating to over a quarter of a million downloads of the programme.

Radio 1's Best of Moyles tops the table of weekly podcasts, with 574,067 monthly downloads, while Russell Brand's BBC 6 Music podcast notched up 140,440 downloads during September.
