Christian Smith joins Virgin from Capital

Capital FM Head of Music Christian Smith is leaving after four years to join Wireless Group digital station Virgin Radio.

Prior to joining Global, Christian was at Kiss for 11 years.

He’ll join Virgin from 12th March and will report to Content Controller Mike Cass.

Mike told RadioToday: “Christian will bring a wealth of industry knowledge and music programming skills to Virgin Radio. His expertise will reinforce our core purpose — it’s all about the music.”

Christian said: “Virgin Radio is a musical powerhouse and I can’t wait to bring a mix of classic tunes and exciting new artists to our audience of music-lovers. Let’s get this party started!”
