Crazy Pink Guy gets Real Radio show

Real Radio’s representative at The X-Factor the “Crazy Pink Guy” will host a special show on the station this Christmas.

He’s been supporting contestant Amelia Lily around the North East painted from head to toe in pink and was last seen on TV in last weekend’s final.

Crazy Pink Guy, aka Sibbers, who started out as a member of Real Radio Promotions team, said: “The Crazy Pink Guy thing was something I decided to do when Amelia Lily had the chance to get back in to the X Factor following Frankie Coccoza’s departure. I just painted myself pink, dyed my hair pink and made a nuisance of myself across the North East, and it snowballed from there.”

“I’ve done just about every job going at Real Radio but always with the ambition that one day I might get my own show, this is a dream come true and I’m really excited about it.”

Real Radio North East’s Programme Controller, Jon Kirby, said: “Sibbers is one in a million, the lad will do anything, no matter how daft. His creativity and commitment gave Real Radio some great exposure on X Factor, and we thank him for it, the next step is to channel all of his energy into making great radio and I can’t wait to hear him let loose on Boxing Day, he’s a real talent for the future.”

Sibbers’ first show will go out live across the North East on Real Radio 100 – 102fm on Boxing Dayfrom 10am until 1pm.
