Dave Connor joins Forth from Original

Original 106 breakfast presenter is making the move from Aberdeen to Edinburgh to join Bauer as Forth One’s drive time host.

The former Kingdom FM and Tay FM presenter will join Forth from early 2012 in the 3-7pm slot.

Before joining Original, Dave spent six years on Dundee station Tay FM’s drive slot and started his career in radio in 1998 at Fife’s Kingdom FM.

Cathy Kirk, station director at Forth One, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Dave Connor to Forth One’s drive time show. The station is dedicated to bringing listeners the best in local talent and fantastic music, entertainment, sport, news and travel tailored specifically for audiences across Edinburgh, the Lothian’s and Fife. I’m sure Dave will be a hit with our listeners and that they will look forward to sharing the drive home with him on weekday evenings.”

Dave told RadioToday.co.uk: “It’s every presenter’s dream to host one of the flagship shows on the station they grew up listening to. As a born and bred Fifer, I’m over the moon to join the team and work alongside local legends like Boogie and Grant Stott. I previously covered some weekend shows for Forth One while I was working at Tay FM and I can’t wait to get back to the station and broadcast to all our local listeners. A move back to Edinburgh and Forth One is perfect – I love the vibrant vibe of the city and its people.”
