Forth One’s Fife parody goes viral

A parody song by Forth One mid-morning presenter Grant Stott has become an internet hit after he performed it for the first time at the station’s Radio Forth Awards.

The song That’s Fife – a skit on Frank Sinatra’s That’s Life – stole the show at the ceremony and has already notched up more than 57,000 YouTube views.

More people have watched it than the performances from artists including The Wanted, Pixie Lott, Mel C and Matt Cardle who were at the station’s awards do.

Grant, who co-wrote the song with pal Mino Russo, said: “I can’t believe the reaction the song has been getting. I thought it would be funny to do a wee parody of the Sinatra hit, changing the lyrics to make the song all about Fife. We put together a film to go with it, showing towns in Fife, some iconic and not so iconic features, and some of Fife’s most famous sons and daughters. I hoped it would be seen as an affectionate tribute.”
