Radio Today creates Alton Towers JockFest

A new event has been organised giving presenters and programming staff/freelancers a chance to gather for a conference and social event at Alton Towers.

JockFest, which has been created by Radio Today, will take place over the weekend of May 18th and 19th 2013, and tickets go on sale today.

The weekend will consist of social time, conference sessions, a three-course meal, entertainment and disco on Saturday, followed by an overnight stay, breakfast and tickets to Alton Towers the next day. It’s open to anyone who works in or has connections to programming departments in commercial and BBC radio stations.

Organiser Roy Martin: “As the heads of the radio industry gather for The Radio Festival, we’re announcing details of JockFest – a two day fun event aimed at radio presenters, producers and programmers. We’ll have lots of time set aside for catching up with old colleagues and friends, along with entertainment, food, sessions on topics such as social media and audio, and of course a ticket to Alton Towers all included.

Sponsorship of the event is available, along with the opportunity to include items in the delegate goodie bags – such as audio production, pens, novelty items and more.”

Tickets go on-sale today at JockFest.co.uk and full details of special guests and speakers will be announced over the coming weeks online and via @JockFest.
