Former Group Head of Programmes at Chrysalis Radio Pete Simmons is joining GCap Media as Group Programme Director of Content and Digital. Pete's new responsibilities include making sure all group content is shared effectively across all stations and platforms.
During his career he spent almost 20 years at Capital Radio before leaving in 2001 to join Chrysalis where he looked after programming for Heart, LBC and Galaxy. At GCap, he will report directly to Group Director of Programmes Dirk Anthony, and will also take charge of developing the group's digital brands.
Commenting on Pete’s appointment, Dirk said: “We are very much looking forward to having Pete on board. His vast programming knowledge and experience will help create greater value from the rich content GCap generates every day.”
Pete commented: “This role gives me a great opportunity to maximise the potential of GCap’s excellent content to meet our listeners’ demands.”
