Former Kiss 100 and Virgin Radio presenter Robin Banks is returning to radio, as the new breakfast show presenter at GCap's Leicester Sound.
The established radio and television host will step into his new role on Monday 30th June.
Banks' extensive radio career has included time at Atlantic 252, Virgin Radio, Beat 106 and breakfast on London’s Kiss 100. In addition, he has also hosted several programmes for television including Channel 4, Sky One, Living TV and BBC 2.
Leicester Sound’s programme controller Colin Paterson said: “Robin is a world class talent. It’s this calibre of presenter which will put local commercial radio back on the map. It’s been a long time coming but we’re delighted Robin is back on the radio and on top form”.
Banks said: "This isn't a cheap "fill in a quote thing" to big up the radio station and say; "oh I can't wait to be on air etc", I'm truthfully more excited to be doing the breakfast show at Leicester Sound than I ever was at Kiss or Virgin."
