Russell Brand for Radio Fest

Russell Brand has been confirmed as the celebrity interviewee at the 2007 Radio Festival. The BBC Radio 2 presenter joins other hosts including Danny Baker, Colin Murray, Vanessa Feltz, Jamie Theakston and Nick Ferrari who are also taking part in the industry event.

This year the three-day festival will feature a who’s-who of British radio, with Ed Richards from Ofcom, Andrew Harrison from RadioCentre, Phil Riley from Chrysalis, Ralph Bernard and Fru Hazlitt from Gcap Media and Andy Parfitt from BBC Radio 1 all joining the line-up.

Trevor Dann, Director of The Radio Academy, says: “I’m honoured to be chairing the Festival at a time of great change and opportunity. Traditional radio broadcasting is attracting bigger audiences than ever but at the same time producers are embracing new content platforms and new delivery systems. And other media companies are embracing the world of radio. The future of quality audio programming is already here and I believe this year’s Festival will demonstrate the wealth of talent, innovation and optimism in our industry.”
