SGR FM’s three year commentary deal with Ipswich Town has been given a boost, as games will now be available in Lowestoft and most of Norfolk, via Gold Norfolk's DAB channel.
The commentary, which will also be heard on 97.1 and 96.4 FM, will be provided by Capital Radio's Mark Scott and former Town legend Mick Stockwell. The new team make their debut for the first match of the new season on 09th August for the visit of Preston.
SGR FM programme controller Dan Thorpe said “We’re delighted to be able to offer full match commentary of every Ipswich Town game to fans across North Suffolk and Norfolk. This means that more than a million people can now hear Town games on the radio, for free – far more than ever before. We have been working closely with the club for a long time to make sure Ipswich fans in these areas were able to listen, and we’re really happy with the solution.”
