Sky News Radio appoints Exec Producer

Sky News Radio’s Acting Executive Producer Louise Hastings has been appointed Executive Producer for Sky News Radio and Editor of IRN, replacing Andy Ivy.

Andy, who was responsible for setting up Sky News Radio in 1999, takes up the role of Executive Producer, New Media with immediate effect.

Since joining Sky News in 1997, Louise has worked on a host of Sky News programmes. She was also a part of the launch team for Five News when Sky News started providing their content.

Louise began her journalism career at Isle of Wight Radio in 1990. Two years later she launched Spire FM in Salisbury with six friends. During her career, Louise has reported the news for Capital FM, Classic FM, LBC, IRN and Reuters.

Commenting on her appointment Louise said: “I am delighted to be heading up Sky News Radio. We have a talented team who work closely with their Sky News colleagues to provide a great service to 300 radio stations across the UK. Commercial radio is a vibrant, exciting and innovative community, and I am thrilled to be part of it.”
