TeamRock announce senior management team

TeamRock, the new company headed by John Myers and Billy Anderson, has recruited its first senior team as over 500 job applications are received.

teamrockHead of Radio is Hugh Evans, former Controller at Rock Radio in Manchester and Real Radio XS. He’ll be responsible for TeamRock Radio which starts testing on national DAB within the next 10 days.

He’s joined from the former GMG Radio stable by Jill Johnston, who quit her job as HR Director at Real and Smooth yesterday for the same position at TeamRock, along with former Finance Director Stuart Kilby who takes on the same title at the new company, and former Rock Radio Scotland programmer Ciaran O’Toole joins as Digital & Innovation Director.

Chris Ingham, currently Group publisher of newly acquired magazines including Classic Rock and Metal Hammer is promoted to Managing Director of Content and Publishing with a focus on developing the brands internationally. Chris says: “I have spent years building these quality magazines and we now have substantial investment to grow them further and globally under the TeamRock banner.”

Billy Anderson, Chief Executive Officer says: “This is a content business driven by brilliant people on every platform. I am thrilled we have attracted this level of talent so quickly and they have bought into the vision we believe in.”

TeamRock Radio is just one part of the new company but will broadcast a rock music and content service via Digital 1 with a soft launch expected in May.
