Radio Clyde is the Big Noise in the West

The latest radio audience figures out this morning show that Radio Clyde is the clear market leader in the West of Scotland with 818,000 listeners and a stunning market share of 27%.

45% of the population tune in to Radio Clyde every week with Clyde 1 reaching 644,000 listeners (16.2% market share) and Clyde 2 reaching 381,000 people (10.8%).

Clyde 1 singlehandedly has over 200,000 listeners more than any commercial or BBC station in the West of Scotland.

At breakfast, 102.5 Clyde 1?s George Bowie has 409,000 listeners which is bigger than Radio 2?s Terry Wogan and Radio 1?s Chris Moyle combined in Glasgow and the West. In fact, Bowie at breakfast gets as many listeners as Real Radio do in Clyde?s area in an entire week*.

Radio Clyde?s Managing Director, Paul Cooney told RadioMad,

?Radio Clyde has even more listeners than it did at the same time last year and we?re delighted to be Glasgow and the West?s No. 1 radio station.?

George Bowie is happy to be Scotland?s King of Breakfast Radio and added,

“It’s great to know that more people wake up with me than anybody else and that all those early morning rises in the dark are worthwhile !”

* Real Radio doesn?t not cover the whole of Radio Clyde?s Total Survey Area.
