New Guy on Breakfast at Real Radio Yorkshire

Guy Harris, a man of a thousand voices who readily admits he’s ‘up for anything’ has been confirmed today as Real Radio Yorkshire’s new breakfast show host.

The presenter will take over the flagship show of the GMG Radio owned station from January 4th 2005.

The 28-year-old presenter started his career at Leicester Sound before moving to the breakfast slot at 2-TEN FM in Reading. After taking a year out to work as a voice over artist, Guy is delighted to be returning to the airwaves on Real Radio.

As an accomplished impressionist he will no doubt be introducing some of Britain?s best-known personalities into the show. He?ll be joined for the marathon five-hour daily show by co-host Lorna Bancroft, who previously worked for AA Roadwatch, the radio travel information service.

The duo replace Terry Underhill and Debbie Lindley who have hosted the show for two years. Terry will concentrate on his role as Programme Director for the station while Debbie will be focusing on her duties as a new mother.

Programme Director Terry Underhill said: “Guy and Lorna are great fun and will get listeners off to a flying start in the morning. I?ve had a brilliant two years on the show but I’ll be glad of a lie in!?

Guy said: “I can’t wait to start. Fingers crossed Terry has left the mini bar in the studio and the early morning chauffer that he uses, for me. I’m sure we’ll have a blast. Don’t ask me what we’ll be doing, sometimes I don’t know until I’m my opening mouth. See you in Jan!”

Real Radio in Yorkshire celebrates its third birthday in March 2005.
