UK Radio Aid – across the UK commercial radio network

Arrangements are currently being made to attempt a UK Radio first. The entire commercial radio network will join together for a 12 hour broadcast from 6am to 6pm on Monday 17th January.

"UK Radio Aid" will attempt to raise money for the Tsunami victims. The show will be broadcast from Capital Radio in London and will feature some of the country's top presenting talent such as Chris Evans, Simon Bates, Mark Goodier, Tony Blackburn, Chris Tarrent, Johnny Vaughan and Jono Coleman.

Celebrities are said to be taking part too, including Sir Elton John, Robbie Williams, Ant and Dec, George Michael and many more – including PM Tony Blair. The on-air mechanic will be to ask people to donate the last hour of this month's salery to the appeal.

The cash raised on the day will go to the Childrens Carities, helping the DEC.
