Changes at Emap Northwest

The three Emap-owned Big City stations in the Northwest of England are bringing in a few changes for 2006.

Radio City in Liverpool are bringing back a nightly talk show as the Pete Price Phone-In moves from it’s sister station Magic 1548 (Liverpool). Pete had previously been hosting his daily show on Magic along side a Sunday evening show on Radio City.

Key 103 Manchester hire David Ditchfield to present Ditchy’s Drive Home from January 3rd. Ditchy first apeared on radio in the area whilst hosting the Breakfast show on RSL station Radio Bolton in 1995 before moving onto work at various Emap stations including Radio Aire and TFM.

Warren Moore takes over from Steve Penk’s Mid-Morning show. Penk will continue to host weekend programmes at the station, which has also introduced a new jingle package to freshen-up the station sound.

Finally, unconfirmed reports on the Radio Today Forum suggest that Dave Miller is the new
new permanent breakfast show host at Preston based Rock FM, and Shaun Tilley, previously with Radio City takes over Drivetime from Mark Kaye who is said to be leaving the station after many years.
