A new low budget, high quality service aimed at providing developing radio presenter talent with feedback, counselling and critique has been launched.
The service, called TheBestAircheck.co.uk (TBA for short!) is run by broadcast consultant Les Gunn, who has been working within the UK radio market for 20 years, both as a presenter and in programme/station management.
The Best Aircheck.co.uk provides a cost effective and useful aid to those who are trying to break into radio for the first time, or those who feel they could do with a ?mic makeover? and would appreciate the benefit that the service can bring.
Les Gunn, commenting on The Best Aircheck.co.uk said ?I always remember starting out in the radio business, sending out demo after demo and just hitting a wall of silence ? just wishing that someone would point me in the right direction and offer some guidance on where I was going wrong or what I could do better. Now there is help for those just trying to squeeze open the door and get their first break, or maybe for those already within radio wanting to add some useful skills to their broadcast style and knowledge. One of the things that appeals is that this is a totally personal service ? there?s no generic critiques sent out!?
He added ?I hope that those within Hospital, Community, RSL or Internet Radio will become a large part of the Client base and with a huge increase in the number of stations since I started out, the opportunity is enormous and I am sure there are lots of others who feel the service will be of use, whilst at the same time, not costing a fortune.?
