RAJAR Results for UKRD

Privately owned radio operator UKRD is celebrating following publication of the latest RAJAR data. Taking top honours were Fen Radio who dramatically increased their Reach from 19% to 27%.

?It just shows what can happen if you let people on the ground get on with it?, said Group Programme Director Phil Angell. ?The team at Fen Radio is a small highly dedicated bunch who really own their TSA. This is just a fantastic tribute to all their hard work and dedication?.

Other UKRD stations posting increased audience share include Star Radio in Bristol, Star Radio in Cheltenham, 96.4 The Eagle, County Sound, and KL.FM whose market share now stands at 22.7% from 19.2%.

?As commercial radio continues to fall behind the BBC, UKRD has bucked the industry trend? said Angell. ?Being a medium sized radio group we may not always grab the industry headlines, but our teams are brave enough to try new stuff and that?s starting to pay dividends. We don?t have big marketing budgets or the benefit of a license fee, our computers are crap, and Ofcom?s one size fits all approach continues to drown us with erroneous and onerous paperwork – but at least we?re having fun?.
