Tindle Radio have promoted Simon Tims to Technical Director and appointed to the Tindle Radio Ltd Board of Directors.
Simon was formerly known as Group IT & Systems Manager, project managing the launch of all the new Tindle Radio stations. He originally joined the group in 1998 as a presenter on The Beach in Lowestoft.
Simon has worked in the commercial radio industry for 21 years and after joining The Beach, he was soon promoted to Programme Controller and thereafter appointed to The Beach Board as Programme Director. In 2002 Simon moved to Dream 107 in Chelmsford as Programme Controller and was promoted to take up the Group Programme Controller’s position.
Simon said, “I am absolutely delighted to join Tindle Radio’s Board of Directors. It’s a
challenging but exciting time to work for a Group which has expanded so rapidly over the last
few years. Technology is now a crucial part of local radio and it will play an even more major
role assisting all aspects of our business to become more cost efficient and improve
profitability as Tindle Radio continues to develop.”
