GaydarRadio wants fresh talent

Digital radio station GaydarRadio is searching for a new generation of broadcast talent.

The station has recently added Big Brother contestant Richard Newman to co-host a weekend show, but is on the lookout for additional experienced and entertaining broadcasters.

Programme Controller Robin Crowley is amazed at the lack of decent demos current being sent in to the station: "Nowadays everyone seems to want to the work for the BBC. Their judgment must be clouded by the scale of Chris Moyles’s salary".

"But the fact of the matter is that working in commercial radio today can be as equally rewarding. The days of local radio one liners are well and truly over, thank goodness. Commercial radio is there to serve a discerning and demanding audience that expects much, much more from its radio."

Requirements to work at GaydarRadio include knowledge and understanding of the gay and lesbian community, buckets of enthusiasm and the ability to self-op in the studio.
