Former Heart 106.2 presenter Greg Burns is set to host a new live music show on Virgin Radio Xtreme. The new show, on the digital only station, will broadcast every Monday and Tuesday at 5pm – containing an hour of new music from new bands.
The show will consist of sessions recorded exclusively for Virgin Radio Xtreme, performances from the popular Virgin Radio Xtreme Club Nights and archive live tracks from the Virgin Radio Vaults.
Bands lined up for live sessions in the coming months include Jamie T, The Rumble Strips and The Fratellis – all favourites on Virgin Radio Xtreme. Listeners will also have the chance to win tickets to Shockwaves NME Indie Rave and Indie Rock Tours.
“Many of today’s best new acts are fantastic live performers,” said Mark Bingham, Virgin Radio's Programming Manager. “This show will bring the live experience direct to our Virgin Radio Xtreme listeners. Xtreme Live will be compulsory listening for anyone who loves cutting-edge new music.”
Virgin Radio Xtreme Live starts at 5pm on February 19th. Greg has been with the station since May 2006.
