SBES gets ready for action

The 2007 Sound Broadcasting Equipment Show is still six months away, but organisers Point Promotions are already taking bookings from major exhibitors. Last years 'Future Zone' lectures will be making an appearance again this year after their debut in 2006.

The date for your diary is November 14th and 15th — when once again companies such as PRECO Broadcast Systems, West Country Broadcast, HHB Communications, Oxford Sound Media, Canford and Sonifex will be offering the chance to see new and existing products.

A brand new name on the broadcasting scene is Audessence. Launched by by former Radica Broadcast Systems director, Martin Spencer, Audessence specialises in digital audio products, and will be making an appearance this year in Birmingham. As the company's Sales and Marketing Director, Graham Sloggett, points out, getting a new name known is critical: "One of the first decisions we took in terms of publicity and exposure was to book a stand at SBES. Martin and I both recognise that it is an ideal event at which to raise our UK profile".

Show oraniser Dave McVittie: "The trick is to make sure that any changes we introduce are the right ones, that they enhance the show for all concerned, last year's introduction of the Future Zone being a classic case in point".
