Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody will be dropping into the Xfm studios on a weekly basis for the whole of July to bring listeners five shows filled with his favourite records and views on the best bands out there. As is the case with all of ‘The Xfm Residency’ shows, the play list and topics covered are all chosen by the resident DJ.
Previous guests includes Damon Albarn, The Manic Street Preachers and The Kaiser Chiefs.
Gary Lightbody said "This Sunday I begin a weekly residency on XFM during the month of July. To be honest I feel like the first Russian cosmonaut. Nope, not Yuri Gagarin, I mean the wee dog, Laika. So many controls, buttons, levers and flashing lights and next to no idea what any of them do or indeed why I'm here. I'll bring along my favourite records of the last while and some new stuff I've just been given by folk at the bus stop and endeavour to steer this thing safely back to earth. No promises though."
Gary Lightbody will be on air throughout July on the 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th from 9pm.
