Five presenter joins Classic

Five arts presenter Tim Marlow is joining Classic FM to host a series of mini interviews looking at the artistic tastes of eminent celebrities. Michael Palin, Jon Snow, Quentin Blake and Kirsty Wark are among the celebrities confirmed for In The Frame, which is sponsored by The Art Fund.

The series begins on September 1 at 8pm and each week features a different celebrity taking a musical journey through their favourite artists and their favourite works of art.

Tim Marlow is a curator, Sony Award winning broadcaster, writer and art historian. He is currently Director of Exhibitions at the White Cube gallery in London. He is the author of various books including monographs of the French sculptor Auguste Rodin and the Austrian expressionist Egon Schiele as well as a survey of great artists and in 1993, founded 'Tate: The Art Magazine'.

Darren Henley, Managing Director of Classic FM said: "Tim's programmes on Five have brought the arts to a mainstream audience. We know that the Classic FM listeners have an appreciation for art, and using both radio and the Internet, we want to bring visual art to life for a radio audience for the first time."

The deal was put together by Emma DeLaFosse and Charlie Wilson, Creative Directors at OgilvyOne Worldwide London and Louise Trinder, Group Head, Classic FM Media Partnerships.
