Have you heard The One Network

Plans to re-launch GCap Media's network of 42 local radio stations around the UK have gone public today. As reported by RadioToday.co.uk last month, all stations will enjoy a new website, jingle package, logo and networking programming.

Myleene Klass and Jeremy Kyle will host a new networked show, along with Ryan Seacrest. GCap will also work on enhancing local news, views and information for each station by offering up to the minute breaking news, traffic updates, travel information, gig listings and details of local events.

Supporting the new on-air activity, The One Network will undergo a full re-launch online. To build the propostition around new and local music, all The One Network station websites will offer a facility for new and upcoming artits to upload their music with a view to getting airplay live on the station. There will be a facility for listeners to upload details of upcoming local events into an events calendar and there will be a substantially enhanced streaming of celebrity gossip and showbiz.

The new strapline for every station is "haven't you heard?", thought of by Canvas, GCap Media’s in-house multimedia creative agency.

The re-launch of The One Network will be supported by a national and regional trade and consumer marketing campaign, the first for The One Network in 7 years. The varying campaigns will comprise of a number of creative advertising excutions, national and regional launch events and re-branded street marketing vechicles and teams.
