Magic listener wins £88,600

The Mystery Voices competition on Magic 105.4 has been won by a listener from Essex after correctly identifying the three voices as Paul Young, Pam Ferris and Nigel Planer. The competition had been running since the beginning of August.

The first voice was guessed after four days, where a listener, Tim Talbot from Great Missenden won £50,000. The second voice was guessed shortly afterwards by Karen in Reigate who also won £50,000.

Then yesterday Gary Thompson correctly guessed the final mystery voice as actor Nigel Planer. Gary wins a massive £88,600!

The three voices were Nigel Planer, an English actor, novelist and playwright. He is most famously known for his role in the 80s sitcom 'The Young Ones' alongside Rik Mayall. He is also credited with writing sitcom 'Not The Nine O'Clock News'.

Pam Ferris – Actress Pam Ferris is known for her role as Ma Larkin in the comedy series The Darling Buds of May. She has however also acted in a succession of television dramas, including: Oranges Are Not the Only Fruit, Where The Heart Is and Rosemary & Thyme. She has also starred in films including Matilda and Harry Potter.

And singer Paul Young. His album 'No Parlez' was certified platinum in various countries. He is currently starring in ITV game-show 'Hell's Kitchen'.
