RAB recruits and restructures

The Radio Advertising Bureau is appointing a strategy consultant to each of the major agency groups – giving agencies a single point of contact. The changes are part of a drive to ensure greater customer focus, the marketing body told RadioToday.co.uk.

As part of the restructure, three new strategy consultants have been appointed. Natalie Scott joins from CBS Outdoor, Mike Holt from independent production company Somethin’ Else and Nicci Roffey from News International. They will join the current team of Judith Spilsbury, Jo Coltman and Mark Williams who have all moved to the new roles of strategy consultants.

It is hoped the one to one relationships with agencies and advertisers will enable the RAB to work on more bespoke work with customers, offer better creative consultations and facilitate cross industry briefs.

Simon Redican (pictured above), managing director of the RAB said, “As the longest established media marketing body the RAB has always enjoyed great relationships with media agencies and advertisers and this will enable those relationships to go to the next stage. We want to ensure that agencies have that personal contact — all too often ignored these days.”

Redican added, “In an age of bewildering choice, advertisers and agencies want to know how each medium can specifically work for them. Radio is now multiplatform — there are more new and exciting opportunities than ever before and we want to make sure people are considering radio and getting the best out of the medium.”
