Cartridge joins Hampshire

Former Classic FM, BBC Radio Solent and Original 106 presenter Richard Cartridge is joining Radio Hampshire to host the Saturday breakfast show.

Richard has been broadcasting the region for many years at the BBC. He has also performs in a band and writes for the local newspaper.
His new show starts this Saturday from 7am till midday, just 12 months after joining Original 106 to host the Sunday breakfast show, but he no longer appears on the schedule at the Southampton-based regional.
Richard said “107.8 Radio Hampshire is the only truly local radio station for the county. I can’t wait to join the team. I’ll be bringing some fun back to Hampshire’s airwaves plus, of course, playing the best songs on the radio!”
Tanya Messom, Station Director at 107.8 Radio Hampshire said “Richard is one of the South’s most loved and engaging radio personalities. He has a huge fan base in our area and we want to welcome his army of listeners to our bright new local radio station.”
