Radio stations from around Europe have teamed up with 100.4 Smooth Radio in the north-west of England for a holiday promotion with Ocean Village.
Presenters from 106.5 Riviera Radio in Monaco, Radio Popolare in Rome, Island FM in Zakynthos and Mallorca 95.8 Das Inselradio have each recorded audio “postcards” which are being played out during Chris Best's More Music Smooth Breakfast Show this week.
Each piece of audio highlights facts and figures about their home city or island which listeners must then answer a question about to win ₤250. Each daily winner will then go through to a draw on Friday to win an Ocean Village cruise around either the French and Italian Riviera or Greek Islands.
Paul Kavanagh, managing director of Riviera Radio and formerly group programme director at Emap Radio, said: “It’s great to work with Smooth Radio on this project, radio listeners always appreciate these prizes and therefore they work for advertisers.
"Now we need to figure out how to get the sales team to the south of France!”
