British Radio Awards now open

Voting is now underway for the 2008 x-trax British Radio Awards – honouring the best in on and off-air talent across the UK radio industry.

The BRAs are now in their seventh year, having launched in 2001 and have grown from a 10 category event to over 32 national and regional winners last year. A panel of industry figureheads arrange a shortlist and then readers of the x-trax magazine are invited to vote who wins.
Last year, top awards went to Scott Taunton of UTV Radio (GB), as chief executive of the year, industry figurehead of the year was BBC Radio 2's
Chris Evans, Chris Moyles was named presenter of the year, and Andy Parfitt won managing director/controller of the year for his efforts at BBC Radio 1.
