BBC Radio Oxford is launching a new love affair on Valentines Day – a new mid-morning programme with Danny Cox and Louisa Hannan.
Daytime With Danny And Lou will offer listeners the chance to hear and discuss the big issues of the moment in a three hour mix of topical chat, advice, information and fun.
The new show has been created with help from people across the county, using feedback gathered throughout 2007 and at a specially-organised audience event in December.
"Using the feedback means we can be sure that the topics and treatments in the programme fit with what people want at this time of day," explains Danny. We hope to encourage lots of involvement from listeners, every day you will hear something of use, of interest and that is just great fun."
Danny and Lou are already well known to Oxfordshire audiences for their own programmes on 95.2FM, but this is the first time they will have worked so closely together. The launch date of 14 February, Valentine's Day, was picked partly so we could test out our new partnership from the start," says Lou.
