New sponsor for JACK and FM107.9

Oxfordshire radio stations JACK fm and FM107.9 are teaming up with Oxfordshire County Council to encourage parents and children to walk to school rather than drive.

The two stations, owned by Absolute Radio, are looking forward to working with the county council's travel plans team for the first time to promote a serious health message in a fun way.
One of JACK's sponsor tags will read along the lines of "JACK’s Weather is brought to you by this not so subtle message from Oxfordshire County Council. Worried that your bum looks big in that? Cycle to work and wiggle it at the people stuck in their cars as you zoom past."
The council will sponsor weather on JACK and weather news on FM107.9.
Joint programme director Sue Carter says: “It’s fantastic to be able to team up with Oxfordshire County Council on such a positive message and to be able to express it in language which will make parents and kids sit up and take notice."
