GCap slammed in Planet Rock sale

GCap Media has finally disposed of Planet Rock to an unnamed third party, much to the annoyance of Brian May who was close to buying the station.
The Queen lead guitarist is "shocked and hugely disappointed" that GCap Media have sold the station to a third party, without informing him of a change of plan. Planet Rock is now out of reach, May said on his website today.

It is not yet known who the buyer of Planet Rock is, but an announcement is expected soon.
Brian said on his website:

Our chaps have been pressing on with GCAP's lawyers, finalising the arrangements, the principles having been agreed a few weeks ago, but, out of the blue, we heard a rumour that someone else was involved, and this morning someone 'unofficially' confirmed that rumour.
We have no idea if the people who have bought Planet Rock plan to keep it running or not. I guess we can just hope that it will still be 'saved', but without us …
It's such a shame … we had such plans …
Well, there ya go. Thanks GCAP. Thanks for a load of wasted time. Well, it's still a small world.[/b][/i]
