Soon-to-launch digital station NME Radio is getting ready to start test transmissions on June 2nd, and has hired former Xfm presenter Ricky Gervais to host a weekly show.
Ricky will be joined by Stephen Merchant and Karl Pilkington, who previously worked together on the Ricky Gervais Show podcasts and Xfm London.
The full launch will take place on June 24th across various local DAB multiplexes, along with Sky Digital and Virgin Media. It is also thought NME Radio will operate a series of RSL broadcasts during October around the UK to promote the station.
