Andy Shier has left The Local Radio Company to join Wave 105 as programme controller. Andy replaces Dave Shearer who left three months ago to join GMG Radio in Manchester.
At TLRC, Andy was based at Isle of Wight radio, and held a number of positions across the year’s ranging from managing director and programme director, through to breakfast show presenter.
Andy said; “I was attracted to the role at Wave 105 because the station has a very successful brand ethos and reputation across the region. It is a challenging role but I hope that my breadth of experience will bring a fresh approach to what is already a thriving station and I am looking forward to being part of such a talented team.”
