Glasgow based Insight Radio is in talks with DAB multiplex operators to secure space on the digital platform.
The station is enjoying media coverage at the moment thanks to Big Brother contestant Mikey Hughes who presented programmes for the service before enterting the house.
Ross Macfadyen is the radio services director for RNIB and confirms the station's future is digital: "It's no secret we are in talks with various operators about making Insight Radio available to the whole of the UK, either via a series of local and regional multiplexes or one national one".
It has been reported that the station will also launch on Freesat next month.
