Rock FM’s breakfast show co-presenter Gemma Dee is to be the first bride ever to get married on top of Blackpool Tower.
The wedding venue was organised by Gemma’s breakfast show co-host Adam Catterall and unveiled the surprise live on air yesterday morning.
Although blessings have taken place on the Tower before, no one has ever held the actual service at the top as the Tower was not licensed. The Tower management had applied for the licence needed to perform legal services and had permission granted last week.
Gemma and Shaun got engaged live on air back in May this year, when Gemma and Adam spent a week living in shop windows as part of the Breakfast Breakout, raising over £20k for Cash for Kids.
