Ten stations in the current GCap Media One Network are teaming up with UPS and Universal McCann in a ten week multi-platform promotion to stage the annual Local Business Awards.
The campaign will include on air and online activity, with business tips from Dragons’ Den entrepreneur, Theo Paphitis. UPS branding will feature on each of the participating radio station websites and the media player tool will re-brand to the UPS brown and gold signature colours across all The One Network stations, including 95.8 Capital FM.
Information on the Local Business Awards will be sent out via email newsletters which will also encourage listeners to use the UPS widget; a downloadable service which allows packages to be tracked easily.
Local businesses can enter by registering their details online and winners will be selected by Theo Paphitis on their business merit, with the winner receiving one month’s free radio advertising on their local One Network station.
Stations participating in the promotion are 95.8 Capital FM, Essex FM, Broadland, BRMB, Red Dragon, Southern FM, Fox FM, Mercury Crawley, Invicta FM and Q103. The final winners will be announced on Monday 10th November.
The six figure deal was brokered by Lauren Stone, Luke Bennett and Karen De Caux of GCap Media and Amanda Barrett and Rory Berhmam of Universal McCann.
