Swansea station sets launch date

Radio Tircoed – the new community radio station for Swansea will commence broadcasting on Monday December 1st, on 106.5 FM.

Radio Tircoed was last on air in July this year, to coincide with the Tircoed Village Fete. The station is now looking for any locals interested in helping out.
Part of the fund raising for the station includes being able to sponsor station director Geoff Archer and studio manager Phil England eat brussel sprouts and cabbage – two green foods they both hate.
The group won a five year licence from Ofcom to serve Swansea in 2007, which will commence when the station starts broadcasting full time in December.
