NME launches in Manchester

Following a recent temporary broadcast in London, NME Radio is making use of a Restricted Service Licence from Ofcom to broadcast to Manchester on 87.7FM.

The service commenced today, offering live sessions, music news, interviews, gig and festival guides in the city centre until December 7th.
NME Radio managing director Sammy Jacob says: “It’s great to have a dedicated platform in Manchester for the month of November and to provide the city with a true alternative to the mainstream.”
Some of the station’s features during the month include Vampire Weekend recorded live at The Forum (23 Nov) plus live studio sessions with We Have Band (Nov 25) and Dinosaur Pile Up (Nov 27).
NME Radio is also available on Sky 0184, Virgin Media 975, Freesat 727 and online.
