Dave Sander, who has been presenting a daily show on Real Radio Yorkshire since it's launch in 2002 is leaving the GMG station, to be replaced by TLRC presenter Pete Egerton.
Pete joins Real Radio from Minster FM in York where he was the presenter for their drive time show, The Big Drive Home as well as presenting the Sunday Mid-morning show. Prior to that his career has seen him presenting at Silk FM and Metro Networks.
Dave Sander plans to concentrate on expanding his photographic business, Click Photography.
Steve South, Managing Director of Real Radio Yorkshire said; “We are delighted to welcome Pete to Real Radio, he’ll bring a new vibrant feel to mid-mornings and is a great asset for the station moving forward.
Pete said; “I am so happy to be joining Real Radio. Dave has done a great job and I’m looking forward to getting to know the listeners and building on the foundations he has established. My style of broadcasting means there’ll be some fun and exciting times ahead; I’m really looking forward to getting on air next week.”
Steve added; “This is a time of mixed emotions for us at the station as a valued member of the team such as Dave leaves, but at the same time it brings in fresh and new opportunities with the addition of Pete. I wish Dave all the very best for the future.”
Pete Egerton will broadcast daily from 10am through to 1pm, Monday through Friday from the 12th January 2009.
