BBC launches new DAB transmitter

The BBC has launched a new DAB transmitter at Truleigh Hill, providing coverage to the south Downs and Sussex coast.

This transmitter, which will improve coverage in Worthing, Lancing and Hove, also brings coverage to new listeners in Steyning, Henfield and Burgess Hill. It adds 49,000 listeners to the coverage area and improves coverage for 400,000 people.
Other BBC transmitters launched this year include Clifton in South Yorkshire, Ashford in Kent, Wiltshire, Thanet, Whitby, Chesterfield, Orkney and Oulton Park.
