Community night re-scheduled

The Radio Academy's North West branch is changing the date of its upcoming Community Radio Night.

The chance of plan is to avoid a clash with major events planned for the city on the original date. Now the free event will take place on Thursday the 4th of June 2009.
The event follows a similar, highly successful evening in London which celebrates community radio in the region, meeting the stars, hearing the shows and asking about the future – cash, localness, and social change.
BBC Radio Manchester presenter and former community radio member Mike Shaft will be chairing the event, and the panel includes representatives from the Community Media Association and three community radio organisations; Radio Regen, Preston FM and Gaydio.
Booking is not required, but the event will start on-time at 6pm (for 6:30pm) at the BBC Club on Oxford Road, Manchester.
