More community radio in the SE

Ofcom has announced the latest winners of community radio licences in the hotly-contested South East England round. Three of the new stations are in the county of Kent, with one in neighbouring East Sussex.

Two Academy FM student stations have been licensed to serve the coastal towns of Ramsgate and Folkestone in Kent, with a further award to Radio Sunlight, operated by the local Sunlight Trust in Gillingham.
The East Sussex award went to local group Rye FM. They propose a wide-ranging station for the town of Rye.
Additionally, Folkestone religious service Loveworld Radio was refused a licence.
