Radio Jackie sounds better

South West London's Radio Jackie has introduced a high quality web stream, thought to be indistinguishable from the original audio.

The station has been running state-of-the-art MPEG4 AAC streams for several years, but now it has taken the opportunity of improved internet connectivity at the studios in Tolworth to provide transparent quality AAC streams of 128kbps.
This is a level of quality defined by the ITU (International Telecommunications Union) as indistinguishable from the original audio and is believed to be a UK first, with the BBC currently conducting trials using the technology.
Radio Jackie engineering is by Trevor Brook and streaming is by mouselike.org.
