Breaking records at Hereford

BBC Hereford and Worcester has broken a world record for salsa dancing, following on from their Guinness World Record for belly dancing.

The station discovered at the weekend that plans to break the record for the world's biggest salsa class had been thwarted by Dancesport Team Cebu International Inc in the Philippines – so the radio station gathered the people of Hereford and Worcester together at Sixways Stadium and formed the world's longest-ever salsa line and thus created a new world record with 418 people taking part.
James Coghill, Managing Editor, BBC Hereford and Worcester, says: "I am delighted that BBC Hereford and Worcester has broken yet another world record and helped raise money for Children In Need too."
He adds: "I would like to thank all our listeners and everyone who supported and attended the event.
