Doors open at BBC Norwich

BBC Norwich has become the latest BBC building to open its doors to the public and is offering visitors the chance to gain a behind-the-scenes insight on how a regional broadcasting centre operates.

BBC Tour guides promise to give an insight into the many programmes originating from BBC Norwich and the level of work it takes to get them from script to screen.
The tour also includes a visit to the Look East TV studio and production gallery to find out what it is like behind the scenes of the BBC in Norwich – including looking in on the presenters' dressing rooms, an edit suite and the weather office.
At the end of the tour visitors will have the chance to try their hands at presenting or operating the cameras in the new purpose-built Open Studio.
In January 2009 visitors were offered the chance to explore both BBC Birmingham and BBC Manchester.
