Ofcom plans for Ramadan 2010

The radio regulator is inviting applications to operate short term RSL stations during Ramadan 2010.

The window of opportunity for the sough-after licence period is between Friday 7 August and Thursday 3 September 2009 at 17:00.
Ramadan is a time for which Ofcom receives a lot of competing Restricted Service Licence applications, and they accept these over a four week period, rather than on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
Ofcom reminds applicants that only a fully completed and signed application form, accompanied by a cheque for the application fee of £400, can be considered. If there are not enough frequencies, Ofcom will place competing applications in to a draw, at which stage an applicant can withdraw and receive a full refund of the application fee.
