The North West's Real Radio is bringing back The Renegade for two weekends in July and August.
Earlier this year the on-air promotion gave away over £50,000 to listeners who asked him the question: "Are you the Real Radio Renegade?" He will be back this weekend, the 25th and 26th of July and the 1st and 2nd of August.
Programme Director Dave Shearer told RadioToday.co.uk: “The Real Radio Renegade was a near phenomenon across the northwest, none of us expected it to be quite as big as it was. The lengths bounty hunters were going to track The Renegade down was amazing. There was so much money available to win that a lot of people, families and friends took up to a week off work to go bounty hunting! Many of those that found him won thousands of pounds – not bad for a week’s work!
“These two weekends are set to be immense fun and we anticipate that once again, 100’s and 100’s of listeners will hit the streets. They will be using the power of mobile technology to keep up with the presenter’s clues and checking updates from the man himself online and you can be sure The Real Radio Renegade will once again be the most wanted and hunted man in the northwest.”
